Marathon, not to be confused with the original 1994 game of the same name, is a sci-fi extraction shooter developed by Bungie, with a planned release by Bungie for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 23, 2025.

A same name reboot of the Marathon trilogy, Marathon switches from a traditional first-person shooter to a team-based FPS extraction shooter with a new futuristic art style.

As cybernetic mercenaries (known as "Runners"), players are tasked by rival factions to scavenge a lost colony on the planet Tau Ceti IV, fighting off rival Runners and the planet's hostile environment.
